What is Rydwayz and how does it work?

Rydwayz is a carpooling platform that connects passengers with drivers offering rides along the same route. Passengers request a ride, and drivers set their availability. Our system matches them based on route, timing, and availability. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

How do I sign up as a driver or passenger?

• Passengers: Sign up with your phone number and email, verify your identity, and start booking rides and reducing commute expenses.
• Drivers: Upload required documents (license, car registration, and insurance), verify identity with a selfie, and set ride availability to start accepting trips and saving money.

How does pricing and payment work?

• Scheduled rides have fixed rates based on distance and demand.
• Instant rides use dynamic pricing that adjusts in real time.
• Payments are processed through Stripe, and drivers receive payouts directly to their bank accounts.

What happens if a ride is cancelled?

• Drivers cannot cancel once they accept a ride. (To avoid last-minute surprises)
• Passengers cannot get a refund after a driver accepts. (No last-minute losses to drivers)
• If a driver rejects the ride, the passenger gets a full refund.

Is Rydwayz safe?

Safety is our top priority. We verify all users through phone and email OTP verification, and drivers must upload valid identification and a live selfie. Each passenger will also get an OTP for each ride to submit to driver before onboarding the vehicle. Future updates will introduce additional safety features based on user feedback.

Where is Rydwayz available?

Rydwayz is currently launching in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with plans to expand across Canada. Stay tuned for updates on new locations!
