Rydwayz Inc. ('Rydwayz', 'we', 'our', or 'us') is committed to protecting user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store personal data when users engage with our services.

3. Data Sharing & Security

Rydwayz does not sell or rent personal data. We may share data with law enforcement or third-party providers when legally required.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Users may request data deletion via account settings. Some data may be retained for legal and regulatory compliance.

Community Guidelines

All Rydwayz users must adhere to these guidelines to ensure a respectful and safe carpooling environment.

1. Respectful Behavior

• Treat drivers and passengers with courtesy.
• No harassment, abuse, or discrimination.

2. Safety & Compliance

• Drivers must obey all traffic laws.
• Passengers must respect the driver’s vehicle and adhere to rules.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Rydwayz enforces strict cancellation policies to ensure fairness for both passengers and drivers.

1. Passenger Cancellations

• No refunds after a ride is accepted by the driver.
• Full refunds are issued if the driver rejects the booking.

2. Driver Cancellations

• Drivers may not cancel after accepting a ride. Repeated cancellations may lead to account suspension.

Insurance & Liability Disclaimer

Rydwayz does not provide insurance coverage for drivers or passengers. All users are responsible for ensuring they have adequate insurance coverage.

1. Driver Responsibilities

• Maintain valid auto insurance as required by law.
• Verify insurance policies allow carpooling.

2. Liability Disclaimer

• Rydwayz is not liable for accidents, damages, or disputes between users. All interactions are at the sole risk of the participants.

Payment & Fees Policy

Payments on Rydwayz are processed securely through our payment gateway.

1. Commission Structure

• 15% commission per ride.
• Payouts processed within 4 business days.

2. Prohibited Transactions

• No cash transactions allowed.
• Users must not bypass Rydwayz partner payment gateway.

Dispute Resolution Policy

Disputes between users should be resolved directly. Rydwayz may intervene but does not guarantee resolutions.

Identity Verification Policy

All drivers must verify their identity before offering rides.

1. Verification Process

• Upload valid driver’s license, insurance, and registration.
• Provide a live selfie for profile verification.

Anti-Discrimination & Anti-Harassment Policy

Rydwayz maintains a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination and harassment. Users found in violation will have their accounts permanently suspended.

Data Retention & Deletion Policy

Rydwayz retains user data for a period required by law. Users may request deletion of their data through account settings.

Terms of Use for Mobile App & Website

All users must comply with Rydwayz's acceptable use policies. Misuse of the platform will result in account suspension.

Rydwayz Inc. - Driver Verification Policy

This document outlines the manual verification process for driver documents, including driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle registration.

1. Purpose

To ensure the safety and compliance of drivers using the Rydwayz platform, Rydwayz manually verifies driver-provided documents. However, Rydwayz does not guarantee the validity of these documents beyond manual review.

2. Required Documents for Verification

Drivers must upload the following documents:

• A valid Driver’s License matching their registered name.
• A valid Vehicle Registration for the car they intend to use on Rydwayz.
• Proof of Active Auto Insurance that covers passenger transport.

3. Manual Verification Process

The Rydwayz team follows a structured process to manually review driver documents:

• The uploaded documents are checked for clarity, authenticity, and consistency.
• The driver’s name on all documents must match their Rydwayz profile name.
• The insurance policy must be valid and not expired.
• Any documents that appear altered, fraudulent, or mismatched will be rejected.
• Rydwayz may conduct random audits of verified drivers to maintain integrity.

4. Fraud Prevention Measures

To reduce the risk of fraudulent submissions, Rydwayz may:

• Request re-upload of documents if image quality is poor.
• Cross-check document metadata for inconsistencies.
• Flag suspicious accounts for further review or suspension.

5. Driver Responsibilities & Legal Disclaimer

Drivers are solely responsible for ensuring that their insurance policy allows carpooling and that all documents remain valid.

Rydwayz does not guarantee the validity of documents beyond manual review and is not liable for any disputes, accidents, or damages arising from misrepresented or expired documents.

By using Rydwayz, drivers acknowledge that failure to maintain valid insurance or misrepresentation of documents may result in account suspension or termination.

Tax Status and Revenue Model

Rydwayz does not collect or remit Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) on ride payments, as the platform is structured to support non-commercial carpooling in accordance with Canadian tax laws. Ride payments made through Rydwayz are considered cost-sharing contributions, not compensation for services, and therefore fall outside the scope of taxable revenue.

 

We only collect user data necessary to enable ride-matching, safety verification, and platform integrity. Should our operational model change in the future to include commercial or profit-driven activities, we will update our Privacy Notice and notify all users accordingly.
