All payments on Rydwayz are processed securely via our payment gateway. No cash transactions are allowed.
5. Driver Document Verification
Rydwayz manually verifies driver documents, including licenses, insurance, and vehicle registration. However, verification does not guarantee validity beyond document review.
6. Insurance & Liability Disclaimer
Drivers must have valid insurance and verify that their policy allows carpooling. Rydwayz does not provide insurance and is not liable for accidents, disputes, or damages arising from rides arranged through the platform.
7. Dispute Resolution
Users should resolve disputes directly. Rydwayz may intervene but does not guarantee resolution. If disputes cannot be settled, they may be referred to legal authorities.
8. Privacy & Data Security
Rydwayz collects and processes user data in compliance with its Privacy Policy. Users can request data deletion, but some information may be retained for legal compliance.
9. Termination of Accounts
Rydwayz reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, including fraudulent activity, harassment, and repeated cancellations.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
11. Non-Commercial Cost-Sharing Model
Rydwayz operates exclusively as a cost-sharing carpooling platform. Our services are intended to facilitate voluntary ride-sharing among individuals traveling similar routes, where drivers and passengers mutually agree to share the costs associated with the trip, such as fuel, insurance, and vehicle maintenance.
Drivers using the Rydwayz platform agree that they are not offering transportation services for profit, and that any contributions received from passengers are solely intended to offset trip-related expenses. As such, drivers are not considered commercial service providers, and Rydwayz does not dispatch or manage transportation services on behalf of any party.
All users acknowledge and accept that ride payments do not include Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), as these contributions are non-taxable under Canada’s guidelines for non-commercial carpooling. Rydwayz reserves the right to suspend any account found to be using the platform for profit-driven or commercial purposes.
